Paint filters let thru much larger particles than do coffee filters.I get paint filters from paint stores. There a super fine mesh and super cheap. Sometimes they give 'em to me. I strain lots of spar varnish.
My personal preference would be to maximize oil life with periodic analysis. Then recycle it through the furnace at work rather than through my own injection pump which would cost about a grand to repair or replace.Re, the use of cooking oils in fuel.. anyone found an issue with salt content? Granulated will be caught in the filter.. but any that is solvated.. well.. the stuff in water should be caut in traps.. but... I'd hate to think some getting thru to the injector pump..
