Trying to buy a middle buster

I went to Farm and Fleet Saturday evening to buy a KK middle buster they were sold out. The lady said that they had sold the last one earlier in the day and that thay had sold 4 this week. I drive across town to Rural King, they are sold out. Turns out they had sold 2 this week, but the lady looked on her computer and told me that one of the other stores had 2 of them in stock and she could have it sent to their store sometime this week. I was going to be going thru there today so I figured I would just stop by and get it then. I get there they sold them today. I have one store left in the area to try and if they don't have one I may have to wait until next year to get one.

I find it hard to believe that they cannot order what you want...

TSC would be my suggestion too. I got mine there for $100 or so.

I wish I could have read this a little sooner. I bought the last one at another Rural King store just last night. My son tried it out this evening on some pasture ground that will be planted to corn next spring. It seemed to rip up the sod real well. I appreciate the offer. Are these more of a fall tool? It seems that all the stores I talked to they were really selling them in the last few weeks.

I have been looking for a subsoiler but haven't found any places with one on hand. They seem to be a lot higher priced than the middlebuster for some reason. Have found a couple middlebusters on hand at Orscheln, and TSC farm stores. hjt

Alot of manufacturers that build and sell Middle busters and sub soilers use the same frame, and you can change them. I know the owners of United and DHE real well and they sell both implements and told showed me the same thing. I bought two subsoiler shanks for my middle buster at TSC last week for around 10 bucks each. I saw a fellow loading up one each last night and showed him the frames. He went outside to see mine and both heads and measured them, then shook my hand and thanked me. He was about to spend an extra 120 bucks. When I was inline checking out he paid for my Classic Plant and Machinery magazine I was picking up.
