sorry guys but the ranger buddy backed out he was scared his bed would crack??? but like a said the hpx would squat i took some before and after pictures and you can see that there really isn't a niciable diference in the hpx . infact if you wouldn't be able to see that there was something in the bed you would think that there wasn't nuthing back there. it's made for hauling heavy loads . now that i have put a weighed out load in the bed i now know for a fact that i have had over 2000k lbs in the bed of that hpx because i have had two layers of batteries in there already i never thought that they weighed that much until today when i done this test . so i know my hpx will carry a 2000klbs load very easy and not even grunt. if you look i still have room to put another row of batteries .. i have pictures of each battery on the scale if you guys want me to post it to. if you add up the battery weights it comes up to just over 1,003lbs.

here's the polarisi enlarged the pictures . you can see the advantages of that solid rear end is for hauling.the only diference in the two lods was the polaris load was 1,009 lbs and the hpx load was 1,003 lbs. well the test is complete and i will say the polaris can haul 1000klbs but i wouldn't do it on a daily basis. 500lbs or 650lbs is about rightit just seems like alot of stree on that rear end but it did take it .

Solid axle > independent suspension for hauling. Does the HPX have a trailing arm suspension? Kinda looks like it but it's hard to tell.

the engine is in a cradle like enclosure with the axle attached to it and it's bolted to the frame right behind and under the seats. then the only other place that suports the axle is the rear shocks. the bad thing about the system is no matter how much you lift it the engine will always be so high but there is a good side to it . no matter how much you load into it you'll never drop below your rear difereantial ground clearance. like the ranger and all the other utvs do. whether i have 5lbs or 2000klbs in the bed i still have 8" under my rear diferential all the time. now the ranger started out with i think it was almost 11" and when we loaded it down we ended up with 5-3/4 " at the bottom of the reciever hitch. i know after the ranger was loaded my buddy actualy walked up to the front of the ranger and picked it up amost.

whether i have 5lbs or 2000klbs
please indulge a pet peeve of mine on your verbiage, 1k pounds = 1000 pounds, 1000k pounds = 1,000,000 pounds. it looks odd to see 1000k lbs...
if you meant to say kilograms, the generally accepted way to write it is 1000k or 1000 k, saying 1000klbs doesnt make sense if you read it as written.

no biggie, I understood what you meant after I actually read it, as would most anyone, it just threw me for a loop when I glanced at the message and saw 1000k lbs.
