Nice pics.
What is the insulated pipe?
Bob

That's a solar cover for the pool (rolled up) which I never used this year.
I never wanted a pool but it came with the house. Sure was nice having it though after mowing for 4 hours when the temp was in the upper 90s!

You're gonna need a bigger mower.

Nice wood pile and view.

Hopefully if I get the acreage I'll get to keep the current people who pay to hay it and keep their horses on it.:)

Tractorbeam nice looking tractor how many hours do you have on it? The tooth bar on the bucket looks wicked. I like your combination wood storage and tractor shed. The wood stacked under the roof looks too nice to burn. What type of wood stove do you have, is it an outdoor boiler? I've been seriously considering installing one sounds like they burn a fair amount of wood, I like making firewood so I guess it wouldn't be too bad.

Tractorbeam, are you in Warren County.. near the fairgrounds? That area looks very familiar. Really nice place you have. Looking at that split wood. You must own stock in Motrin:D.

Hi Jimmy Joe

The tractor has about 82 hours on it now. The 100 hour oil change will nicely coincide with the winterizing. Going to switch from my summer Valvoline Premium Blue 15w-40 to Rotella T Syn 5w-40.

The tooth bar is an ATI bar. Thanks for the compliment! It has done the trick. I need to remove it before long in case I need to use the loader to push snow. No plow blade here. :(

I would think twice about a boiler. I don't have one but I hear they consume massive amounts of wood. Hearth.com has some great forums including one on boilers. I'd pay a visit there and read up first.

I have a real old Timberline. Doesn't even have a glass door. It's not very efficient either. I plan to upgrade to a better wood stove next off-season.

Close! I'm in Frederick County, in Winchester.

Aleve is my favorite flavor. :D

Great pics and wonderful job you've done Jim. Have you had any issues with wood on a dirt floor, piled up against a wood building and the darn termite. It looks to me there is plenty of food for them and along with the fire wood they might want to help themselves to your building as well.:(

Have you had any issues with that in the past?

JC,

Hi JC!

No, we have only been living here for 6 months, so no experience with termites. Hopefully they will eat the logs and not the barn.

Thanks for the compliments!

Glad you have not had issues with the termites. Just for good measure I'd be a bit more vigilant and do an simple inspection with a scratch all from time to time.

JC, :)
