Agree, there should be some clearly stated rules with regards to posts.
1*In general, I find it a little scary if a post is pulled.
2*But in the end, scary to see rational, non-abusive, non-threatening, non-harrassing posts getting pulled.

I agree, there has been some inconsistent pulling of threads. I responded to one of the threads that was apparently objectionable to someone with some positive experiences I had with my dealer and Kioti. Others probably, had they been given the chance, would have done likewise. I think if all you are going to allow is positive comments then you dilute the benefit of the discussion. That is disappointing.

It's worse than disappointing.

Selective censorship on this forum is disturbing. However, this is a privately owned and operated website.
1*As such, the owners (and their administrators & moderators) have unlimited authority to delete any postings or parts of postings.
If you don't like the water, get out of the pond.

1*True but there are conquenceses when used unwisely sujch as destroying the item owned.
Wise management will do everything in it's power to keep the swimmers in the pond.

There was this board and another tractor board that started within a few months of each other way back. This board has always censored things and the other board chose to allow almost anything to be posted. The other board is still on line but has very few members and very few posts compared to TBN. TBN must be doing something right.
This is a privately owned board and the owners can do as they see fit. Personally, I think they have done a great job over the years.

True but starting down a path of censorship could very well change that.

I didn't read any of the post in question that I recall but the problem with the ugly post is they usually are ugly and that leads to problems. I don't know the laws but I would think if any particular dealer is named in ill light then TBN could find itself in a legal situation for various reasons. However, I know my thread about my problems with my dealer regarding my 7710-II as well as the Farmtrac threads are both still on here after a long time but neither thread named any particular dealers in a negative way. If the post that were pulled didn't name any particular dealer or person negatively then I don't know but I do know the moderators and admins on this site care a lot about the site and the members so they don't pull post for no reason.

That's not the point/ the issue is preventing the quality of the site from going down the drain.

This thread has already started to make me wonder how much of what I read here has been censored and maskes it's accuracy questionable.
