we put a valve stem thru the bottom of a five gallon bucket. took both cores out slipped a 5/16 or 3/8 hose over the threads and filled the bucket. it took about 4hrs to fill the rear tires on my yanmar 155d. I used used antifreeze since it was free at the local junk yard.

Ok, I am new here and I am going to ask what to yall is probably a silly queston. Why on earth would you put washer fluid in your tires?

1 ballast for the loader
2 lower the center of gravity of tractor
3rd for more weight =traction

as a side note my grand father wouldn't load them past the axle level his theory all the added weight below it helped the center of gravity issue.

redneck style:

needed:

- empty oil drum
- air compressor
- adapter to connect air compressor to oil drum
- adapter to connect oil drum to tire filling hose (both at the same time)

steps:

1. put washer fluid in empty oil barrel
2. attach the above mentioned hoses, and make sure that the air hose from the compressor is higher than the exit to tire filling hose. also make sure that the fluid level of the washer fluid is above the attachment port for the tire filing hose.
3. attach the filling hose to the tire
4. start blowing a gentle bit of air into the oil drum. The pressure in the drum will force out the water into the tire, because the exit opening is below the washer fluid level.

Now dont be too hasty at step #4 as oil drums start to deform at about 1.5 atmospheric pressure. I havent been in the opportunity to discover at what pressure they burst. :D
it takes 200 to pop a pop bottle cant imagine what a drum would take

What is a "pop" bottle?

Obviously you have never been very far north. I had the same questions several years ago also.

Pop is a coke or soda water or whatever non-alcohol carbonated beverage.

And a sub sandwich is a hogy if ya have ever wondered what that is.

My tires were filled at the dealer in Texas, I will be moving to the NY climate next year.Anyone know how you would completely empty out the water without breaking the bead?Or do you think I could empty to the lower level and just add the rest with washer fluid to be enough diluted solution to work?
