I have the L48 TLB in which I am not really using,, I've been thinking real seriously of selling the 48 and replacing it with a cab 5740.. Like most,, financing another new machine just isn't in the cards yet,, It will come some day I am sure.

I did look at the smaller Kubota models, but decided I really needed something in the mid-size class. Was afraid if I went a little too small, would be back in there trying to do a trade-up, and loose some $. This L5740 has some good power (57eng & 50pto), big enough to pull the trailers (maybe not fully loaded), good loader power, and can easily be loaded on my trailer and pulled with the F-350. That big green tractor does not leave the property. Too big for the trailer, too big for the F-350, and definitely over my gross combo weight limit.

I did not want to spend the $ for the cab, but getting the snow blower made that necessary. Back on the farm, plowing and blowing snow was a lot of fun in an open tractor. But I was a lot younger then....

Great machine .... and pretty too. You'll fall in love with the cab. I got the L4740 because I was getting older and I was tired of eating dust, sweating during the summer and picking bugs out of my teeth. But you know what, that heated cab during the winter, even in Texas, is a godsend. It wasn't something that I'd thought about when I bought it but it's been one heck of a bonus. Congratulations.
