What kind of car was this?

We were in Houston recently & in a traffic jam we crept along with a car that I thought might be a Bently or Rolls: however, the logo/emblam had MM on the trunk. That was the only ID mark that we could see. My camera, of course, was back at the motel.

Any idea what it was?

Maybach, maybe? Search on Google images for Maybach and see. It does have a double 'M' logo.

Could it have been a Maybach? It's a high end Mercedes and not all that common.

Well, Heywood, Hakim, jdb, George - - you got it. Yes, that is the emblem we saw. FWIW, I did not even know that line of vehicles existed. Guess I'm not in their target consumer group, but I do aspire to be! At $400+k I'd like 2 or 3.

I don't know that what they offer can be called a "model", each one is pretty close to custom crafted (as it should be for that price). I'd still rather have a Mercedes SLR, they seem more fun to drive where a Maybach is more fun to be driven in
