If you ever read my posts back when I owned "The Mighty TC 18" you won't believe this one!

Due to divorce and sale of property in 2005, I sold my TC 18 and was without a tractor until October 23, 2008. I convinced my new wife that our property needed a 4wd tractor because of the slope/hill. The craftsman that I was using would slide down the hill and not go up it. We also plowed three driveways last winter with a used 4wd truck from my wife's business, the truck was sold in the spring.
She knows the Kubota dealer in town and I know the New Holland dealer (I bought the TC 18 from them), so she got the pricing on the Kubota and I got the pricing on the NH.
She had her price in 1 day and it took me 3 days to get a price and I had to call him back.
The quotes were for a BX 1850 with 54" deck and a 60" front blade with hydraulic angle, and a TZ 18 with a 54" deck and a 54" front blade with manual angle.

The TZ was $4,000 more....................sooooooooooooooooo, I am the proud owner of a Kubota BX 1850!!

I bought my first tractor 4 years ago. I shopped around and talked to every tractor guy I could find. Priced NH and the Green Machine. The NH was $3000 more and the Green was $4000 more for comparable machine. I bought my 6th Kubota this year. No, I didn't keep all of them. Traded and sold 3 of them so have 3 now which I purchased this year. F2880E, BX2350 and L3240HST. Love my Kubotas but hard to find toys and stuff for Grands that are orange. Have hats for them, dealer gave me 6 hats with last purchase. Most of the stuff is green and I've taught my almost 4 year old twin grands that "Kubotas pull John Deeres"!!! Ha! Guess they are all good machines but satisfied with my purchases, especially for the price difference. Told NH dealer about the price difference with both brochures in my hand and he said "he didn't think there was that much difference in their price" and I left. Blue for you is history and you now see orange only.

Diesel power kicks butt...even these little ones!
Don't even need 4wd on the slope yet, must be the rim guard in the rear tires and my weight on the seat helps a lot!

Congrats on the new tractor, and kudos to the new wife for having contacts.

1*How does it slide down a hill if you can't get it up the hill?
2*You will like the Blade.
I have the same blade on one of my BX1500 tractors.
3*Congrats on the BX1850 it's a nice tractor.
I probably would own a BX1850 if I hadn't run onto the 2 BX1500s you see here.

*Well yes you do.
In 2wd you only have brakes on the rear wheels but in
4 wd you have 4 wheel breaking.
