Offically obsessed

My wife has mentioned in the past that she thinks I have become obsessed with my new Kubota BX-25. The attached picture proves it!

Yesterday was my birthday and my wife bought me an ice cream cake from DQ with an orange tractor on it. When she asked them for a tractor they told her they have a design but it is green. She asked them to make it orange instead. They probably thought it was for a 5 year old kid not a 33 year old man.

The orange icing is great though!!!

From when I was around 10yrs till I turned 16 My mother would always make me tractor cakes. Most were John Deere. I also had one that was a Ford 8n and a Farmall looking tractor. I dont know why she stopped making them but I am going to start asking for them again. If I can find some pictures I will post them.

Great post...you got me thinking---

It's funny, last night I went out to my barn to get some parts for a job I have to do and realized I left my Kubota outside...quickly resolved the situation by putting it away in the barn...it was dark out...it reminded me of many thimes I threw all my Tonka Trucks into my little red wagon 40 years ago and hauling them away in the garage after hours of playing on a dirt pile...often it would be dark or getting dark out.

I blew off work yesterday to take advantage of the good weather and work on backfilling a foundation project I was working on...my thoughts went to my Dad who mentioned a year or so before he died how he'd like to buy 15 acres of land and get a tractor to play around on...it never happend for him.

I would agree, but I bet the mfg was marketing toward 4 yr olds, NOT 40 yr olds. LOL

BUT the 40 yr olds are the ones with disposable income to buy the stuff..

Neat. My wife did something similar. She has a CNC ebroidery machine and she designed an L3400 with the Kubota logo and put it on some of my work shirts. I was wearing one at the Kubota dealer one day and a customer asked me a question. I told him I didn't work here. He looked at my shirt and said, "really?"
