Ags vs. industiral vs. turf

I guess if one was making doctor or lawyer money, they could buy expensive 12 ply ag tires, but let's face it, most of us don't make that kind of coin, so we po folk must get by with lesser ply tires that puncture easier. :(

Tractor tires will last 10 - 20 yrs. Cost is not such a great issue esp if the tuffer tire prevents puncture failures which are extremely costly.

10-20 years? I can wear out a set of backhoe tires in 4 years.

hmmmmm....cost is a big issue for me. I can fix a puncture with a $20 can of slime.

One the size of your wrist? Many run filled tires as well.

So. A better tire (ie the right tire for the job) will last longer. What longer is depends on use. But longer is still longer.....regardless what your paycheck looks like....which I couldn't guess, but I know a couple of 'builders' who make more money that any doctor I've ever met.

Yep, running on the road is hard on tires. Especially if you forget to take it out of 4x4!

Oh my gosh. Time to unsubscribe to this one too!:D

From the years< Turfs are the softest and with the least amount of plies over the tread area as well as the side wall! Ag tires are the next regardless of plies rated as they to have a softer sidewall. Idustrial is heavier sidewall and of coarse the plies also go over the tread area.

Turf's if only used on the lawn will normally run for years well over 3000 hours. The ag's with liquid, 2000 hours, air fill only 4,000 hours plus.
Industrials big killer, being on the pavement! roughly about 2000 hours max.

Fronts do wear out faster then the backs, yes they normally turn nearly two to one!
