Tractor
Kubota B21 1997
Bought my first tractor (used) last week. I ran tractors and Combines for years growing up, but this is my first purchase. I also did alot of general maintanence on combines as a result of running so many hours on them, but that was long ago.

It was obvious the tractor needed service.

Anyway, I have been a little intimidated by my first tractor as far as being familiar with it. I ordered an operators manual and am ordering a parts and shop manual today. I bought a used B21 1997 with 900 hours. I brought it home, intstalled a new battery, changed the oil,
( does a b21 have 2 oil drain plugs?)
Installed a new fuel filter, installed new fan belt.
I took it to my local Kubota dealer, after playing on it for about 6 hours. I had them service all the other filters and fluids, because I was not familiar with it, until those manuals come in.
I also told them to check all the grease fitting and put new ones on where needed. I hope they call me today and tell me its ready.

Dug first trench for electric line at our home, my wife forgets the trench is their, steps in breaks foot, may need surgery.
Anyway brand new to the forum and just wanted to make a post.
I have got a lot of great info from your post.

Welcome!!

Please...whatever you do, don't say you wax ANYTHING on your tractor.

Some people get all upset at that subject!!!

Well, i am enjoying reading all the threads. I am on page 20, I only have about 680 more to go. Thanks for the warm welcome.
I am learning a lot from reading all the post. I appreciate the warning on mentioning waxing your tractor. i was just thinking about waxing it when I pick it up at the dealer,(its 10 years old it would not hurt). But because of your post I wont mention it.

Remember the joy of my first one also.

How do you dig a trench so neatly your wife forgets it is there?
