When you said 42 years, I figured you quit raking in your teens or twenties!
Heck, I got you by 3 years.
I have to admire a man who's never touched a rake, as I spent many hours on the end of one during childhood, and well into my thirties.

I am cleaning ditch by the road, there is about 8 years worth of leaves and briars grow in it too. Auch! I think the older than 8 years leaves are dissintegrated already, but I am not sure.
But if I leave the leaves there, people keep littering. The idea is to clean it, seed grass and wild flowers and keep it that way. But as off now, it is one demanding project.

Today is my wifes sisters birthday .
I usually tell her she is getting old faster than I am because her birthday is 4 days before mine,
never mind she was born in 47 and i was born in 40.

I have also been mulching the leaves for a few years. And to try to out do you guys on laziness...I also have not touched a weed wacker or string trimmer in years. Roundup, my friends...
