PTO powered pump?

Do you have a well? Creek? Lake? Neighbor that chews tobacco?

That's what I'm thinking a PTO pump. And for a delievery system maybe a "rapid rain". Basically it's a sprinkler mounted on a long hose and winds itself up as it's irrigating.

I'll second that, PTO Pump and a "Water Buffalo" (= large capacity liquid tank trailer) if distance is to great to run hoses/PVC.

as for "Cheap Water", a Creek or Lake or Pond could be a good source to fill the tank. Filter the suction line.

Suggest a high flow rate "GPM or Liter Per Minute Pump" so the task can be more quickly done. High flow rate spray nozzles for delivery will help to. Watering right at dark will help too.

High Volume / Self Powered pumps are also available at very reasonable prices.

For ideas Try Sparex then navigate to 'Accessories > Workshop > Fuel & Fluid Delivery & Storage > Pumps - PTO Driven

Good Luck

What is the size of the area that you want to irrigate. Due to rapid evapouration I would suggest look into drip irrigation. Build a header tank that will supply enough pressure to allow the water to permiate the soil.
