Anyone got any news on the 86hp tractor Mahindra has out? It is not on their web site, but I hear it is out without the cab. Any word on when it will be out?

I assume you are refering to the 8560. It's actually an 83 hp machine. Looked the ROPS version over at the dealer last week. It's a massive looking tractor. Looks just like the 7520 except bigger. The dealer said it would be available in the cab configuration late spring. Then only on a limited basis. Supposed to be at the NFMS in Louisville Ky in Feb, but I aint holding my breath.

I actually found a dealer that has an 8650 but no cab. Mahindra's web site has reference to it in the financing but not in the models offered section.

I do not actually know, but I think that it looks like a 7520 with an inner cooler and a vent to accommodate that cooler. Although I imagine that there may be other minor differences also. Sure would be nice to see one with the cab.

Here's a link

NEW MAHINDRA 8560 4-WHEEL DRIVE TRACTOR

The loader lift is 4100 lbs to full height with a breakout force of 5830 lbs. 83 hp with 70 at the pto. 12F 12R synchro shuttle. 17 gpm hydraulics. 5500 lb lift capacity at the 3 pt.. The Rops weighs in at 7297 lbs.. Wears 11.2x24 front and 16.9x30 rears. 13.1 ft turning radius.
Mt. View is right it's a wet sleeved, 17.2:1 compression, 203.2 ci, 4 cylinder that's turbocharged and intercooled. Also is a direct injection engine.
I picked up the brochure on it since I've anxiously awaited this beast for a couple years now.
After looking it over and hearing the price I'm not sure I would have waited. The 7010 can do almost anything this tractor could do. For me the size of the 7010 is a plus. Like I said this new one is a massive tractor.

What type of shift/transmission does the 7010 have? Does the cab have air and heat?

Sorry, TYM?

TYM manufactures the 7010 for Mahindra, as well as the T7074 for Montana. The Mahindra version uses a Mahindra engine, the Montana and TYM (T700) versions use Deere engines. The TYM T903 looks like a great deal, 90 engine HP (CAT 4cyl. diesel), 4wd, cab tractor, 32x32 powershift power shuttle trans. I saw an ad for one on TractorHouse at $42,300. Nice tractor! That would fit my hay operation nicely. :)

While at Top Flight Equipment, yesterday, I saw a new 7060. It looked identical to my 6520. The new sales rep told me it is replacing the 6520 and the 8560 is replacing the 7520. Only difference I can see is the new Tier III engines and the fact that my 6520 loader will lift more, while the 8560's loader will lift 200 more pounds then a 7520. Which ups that weight to 4100 pounds. Got the brochure also.
So much for a new higher horsepower Mahindra! Just new Tier III engines mostly. Even the rubber is the same size!
hugs, Brandi

yeah, the TYM700 and T7074 both use the same 2.9 engine that's in my JD 5203(all 5003 series acctually, excluding the 5603). i dont know if they're turbocharged or not, but the one's in the 5003's are. the engines are assembled by Deere in their Mexico plant and have also been used in the 5005 series, 5010 series, and i want to say the 5220 but don't quote me on that. theyre really good engines and i'm suprised that Deere is supplying them to TYM and Montana. guess they got a contract with big $$$. i have ownded a tractor with a Yanmar diesel in it, and I acctually prefer the JD Powertech engine as I think it's smoother and i just think the sound is better.

It is the turbocharged 3029T JD engine.

those are some fantastic engines with stellar reputations. my only concern is they are pretty small to be put in that size of tractor. they're only 179 ci, i would expect 200 ci or so at the minimum. i was told those engines are rated to go up to 85hp so that should be right at the limit of what it's capable of.

The T580 TYM had the same engine minus the turbo. Since the frame of the T700 is a 40-50 hp chassis the 179 ci has been fine so far as we have seen. I have a few customers over the 2500 hour mark. Engines have been bulletproof clutches on the other hand have not.

Here's the specs for the 7060 4wd, 8560 2wd, and 8560 4wd. Not the best scan in the world, but I think you can read it.

RollingsFarms,
The engine puts out 203.2 ci.

i see that on the spread sheet posted and was confused thinking they were using the 2.9 Deere engine. must not be the case, or they may have changed it recently. the engine i thought they were using was the 3029T but it's the 3329.

The Mahindra models do not use the Deere engines.
