Mine is hooked up to the 3rd scv electric diverter kit, ive found that after the machine sits for 24hrs, the tilt hydraulic on the side of the 3pt hitch has let down a little and the rear ballast box is crooked :/ Is this normal or is there a tiny leak?

My new machine only has 4hrs on it so far, and when its warm, i seem to hear a slight "burble" inside the cab, sounds like its coming from the engine area, like air in the coolant, what am i hearing? Temps seem normal, its very faint, but i hear everything.

Congrats on your new '09 - 66HP - 4720! Quite a jump in power from the earlier models!

That's pretty normal procedure for the Top n Tilt to lose position when the tractor sits. Not a big deal. The OEM JD cylinders do not have an internal check-valve that maintains hydraulic pressure with the engine off; so the cylinders will lose pressure.

Best of luck with your new machine and safe and happy tractorin'!

I've got it on my 3720 and it does the same thing. It's normal. I've really enjoyed the TNT even though it was expensive.

SAFTEY TIP: LOWER ALL RAISED EQUIPMENT.

x2 on the safety thing. You should always lower all implements, buckets, etc. Only takes a second and you never have to worry about someone hitting a lever and releasing the pressure and crushing someone or something.

I'm not trying to be the "Saftey Police" but if its always lowered you never have to worry about it leaking down.

If the leakage bothers you enough, you can look into getting a new set of cylinders from CCM. They're a bit pricey but they're a very good quality.

I have the center link cylinder from CCM, so far I've not seen it leak. I'd think having the "tilt" leak would be really annoying. Once level, I'd want it to stay that way and not have to set it every time I got on the tractor. I guess is doesn't matter for a ballast box, but once I got my box blade set, I've not had to mess with it.

Hey Guys,

I got a TL from CCM just about a month ago now and it's fantastic. I was initially of the opinion that the tilt portion of the TnT kit was not necessary unless your ditching or roadbuilding where crowning is needed (something I thought better left to a pro, with a grader).

However.... I used my back blade for the first time the other evening to plow snow and now realize that unless the TL is perfectly straight up and down, when you angle a blade, or landscape rake, etc, to windrow snow, rocks, dirt, etc. one end of the blade/rake is going to be lower that the other, and will leave an uneven 'scrape' behind you (ie, like my gravel driveway now looks....).

So, I've changed my thoughts on this and now I'm probably shopping for the tilt portion too, and I'll need to add the diverter kit to my tractor to make it work.
