The GL3240 does not have the jerky 3ph problem, carpe cerveza.

The only thing close about the L3400 and the GL3240 is the color. The GL3240 is built more like a tractor and less like an urbanite toy. Times are tough right now and anyone who is thinking of buying has the upper hand. The Kubota fit my needs on several levels. Yes it's a known, popular brand in this area (resale value), the dealer is 15 miles from me and has been in business for years, Kubota has an extensive dealer/parts network, the specifcations on GL3240 (with options purchased) actually exceeded the nearest contender (McMcormick), financing options were the same, and when it was all said and done, there was $20 difference in the final price.
For anyone out there considering a tractor purchase, now is the time. Keep hammering them on price, they'll come down and come down some more, if they have to go to the factory rep to do it. But don't buy on price only, tractors or a long term purchase item. If you have specific features that you want, don't settle for something without because it's cheaper. You'll regret not having those features, long after you've forgotten how much you saved.
