If you have read my other threads you are aware that my husband and I are facing financial challenges right now. I hope by the time today is over we will be home free. In the meantime I am looking for every opportunity not to spend money. 2008 has turned out to be a horrible year for us, I can hardly wait for it to be over.
Right in line with everything else bad going on in our lives right now in the middle fo the harvest with mountains of dirty clothes the washign machine breaks, sigh... Turns out I missed a 6" long nail which we use in the harvest to nail the nets into the ground in a pocket, it got lodged into the washer drum and the thing wouldn't turn. 180 Euros later they bring my washer back. So real quick I ask if they want to exchange their repair bill in olive oil. Score one for us. He doens't take the whole bill in olive oil but he'll take half. Hey my hsuband was real glad with that arrangement.
The next night after the repaired washer was brought back the electric goes out in some of the overhead lights and some outlets, sheesh. My husband tries all the fuses and can't figure it out, he finally says, "I'm going to have to call an electrician" So I say, "Okay call and electrician" The electrican comes and there are two fuses blow additionally there is a fried mouse inside the electric panel. The electrician was actually cheaper than the washing machine repair guy. He fixed the problem for 2 bottles of 3/4 liters of olive oil. We may be short on cash right now but thankfully we have olvie oil. Geesh our foreclosure attorney is working for olive oil, to bad we cna't pay our taxes with olive oil
