Doggone it fellas, if you live in a neighbourhood where you gotta pack to go out maybe you should consider moving!

Like anyone can sell their house in this market. I am not in a bad neighborhood, but I would sell in a second if I thought I could get out without getting hosed. But that ain't going to happen any time soon.

I read that slightly different.

1, i read that he backed out of the way to a safer position, then may draw a gun to prevent the assailant from approaching further.. and if he did.. then he would defend himself.

that's quite a bit different than running away, and then getting safe.. then going and shooting the person.

Things have been a little heated in this thread , i hope i hav'nt done anything to make it sound like us Aussies are not your brothers . I can't say any more about gun rights as ive given my word not too , but what i'd like to say is this .

Please remember that I/we will die beside you on the field to defend our homelands and our way of life just as we always have .

Hey.. i saw 'austrailia' yesterday... nice looking land. and now I understand your bar fighting comment. they had a couple of good scenes right at the beginning of the movie.

You Sir , are way low . I felt bad about missing and not answering your question about what i new about the US , so i then did . All i said then was what we had decided to do , the wife always wanted to go to Scotland to see the Castles and i wanted to go to the States . We are now going to Scotland because of all frightening talk on these gun threads . I did'nt say i was out of the discussion , i said i would not talk of your gun rights again (and hav'nt). I can and will if i feel like it give my opinions on the Best Home Defense Rifle as i have already said a Shotgun , i may think of another . So please point out for the potential 6.5 billion veiwers where i broke my word .

I worked pretty hard to word that post well, and it was OK until I tossed in that parting cheap shot. That was not in the spirit of TBN, and I apologize.
