Hey all,
I love my tractor. Problem is my dealer is horrible.
My maintenance schedule says that I need to change the power steering filter element at 50 hours, but the manual doesn't show where the filter is. I asked my "dealer" and he told me it doesn't have a filter. Yet the parts dept at the same dealer sent me a part for it.
Morons.
I called the 24/7 hotline, but I don't think any of those people have actually ever seen a tractor. Never have good luck with them.
So where the heck is this filter? The power steering fluid is filled in a housing that sits on top of my engine. There are some bolts and a plate on top that could have a filter behind, but it looks like I'll need a new gasket if I take that off.
Also, my maintenance chart states that I need to change the filter but not the fluid at 50 hours. There is a sticker on the side of the housing that states to change the filter AND the fluid. So which is it?
Good thing I have this website, otherwise I'd really be up #@#%@ creek.
Thanks!
-Jon
