It's Snowing!

That danged global warming strikes again!
Of course, the ground is way too warm for the snow to stick.
Still, it is an interesting sight.

I notice you don't list a snow blower as one of your implements. Good luck finding one at the last minute! You might get by with your end loader in the mean time.

I was living in Biloxi in Feb of 1963 and we had about 2" and it stayed on the ground for a day or so. I guess we are over correcting and getting so green we are going to have another ice age. My wife noted that our Illinois weather this year reminds her of her home town of Duluth MN.

There was something on the TV news about Beaumont, TX, getting 2" of snow. Our temperature (about 40 miles north of Dallas) has gotten down in to the mid-20s the last couple of days, so it was 26 when I got up this morning, 36 when I started working in the yard about 9 a.m., 56 when I finished about 1:30 p.m. and 60 now. And it's dry here; we'd even settle for some snow.

Bird, I believe I am about 100 miles N.E. of you ... and yes its really dry, I agree even snow would be welcome. The forecast says first part of next week we have a chance of snow, rain and ice mix ... Thats MOISTURE!!!

Wish I had some snow. Forecasters say tomarrow. We'll see.

We woke up to about ten inches of snow, our first major fall of the season. It's right on time and I don't think this one will melt off. Kind of heavy and wet with a thin crust on the surface. A good test for my new electric Toro blower. It's a little guy but it tosses that stuff around pretty good. I've gotten about half the driveway done in less than a half hour.

Maybe later, maybe tomorrow I'll go out to the land and plow out about a mile or so there, see how well a blade and loader do. Should handle it pretty well.

By the way, a more correct term is "global climate change." Global Warming implies higher temperatures everywhere all the time. Not happening. Anthropogenic caused green house gas elevation makes for screwy weather of unpredictable types everywhere. Check out 26 inches of rain in Italy in just a couple of days.
