WHAT DID YOU GET RECENTLY ?

Well, I am sending this from my new Wii video game system. Wow, what an advancement from pong!!!

Hey, I didn't know you could use one as a regular computer (or internet appliance). I won one of those things and was just going to sell it, since it is unopened. We probably would never get time to actually play games on it. But a media computer in the family room would be cool.

Picked up a used King Kutter 6 foot rear blade for snow removal, it's in pretty good shape and I gave a $100.00 for it, tried it out last night and I can see where my snow removal time will be greatly reduced compared to just using the FEL. MH

$287 worth of steel for a couple of future projects:D:D

/ WHAT DID YOU GET RECENTLY ? #85
What are the projects ?

I have a salt spreader that originally fit on the back of my Ford pickup. The Frame is rusted badly, but the rest of the spreader is in decent shape. Most of this steel will go toward building a new frame that I can lift with the three point hitch on my tractor. That way I can plow and spread salt at the same time.

The rest of the steel will go toward fabricating a new brush guard for the tractor. I found out the hard way that the original brush guard was inadequate.

Sounds like a couple of winners.

I just picked up this 2003 mini excavator from a rental company blowing gear out on ebay. 504hrs. runs well, very strong. It is from China but I've already established a connection with parts/support. I picked it up to tackle a couple of projects on my property and plan to sell after I'm done. It's a lot stronger and faster than the BX24 Backhoe.

Last night at 6:59 pm. A 7lb 11oz, 19" long, grandson (well, step grandson, but I'm excited none the less). Mother and child are doing well. Going up to see them this afternoon.
Boy, I hope the little fella is going to like tractors:D:D

Now all we need is pictures of the future TractorOperator.

Certainly can't compete with a new baby...they are wonderful. Even though they cry and keep you awake all the time...they make you smile just looking at them.

My recent "babies" are a dump trailer and 200 gallon diesel storage tank with hand pump from ebay. Or like my wife says....more rusty metal!

Nothing as cool as the little guy, but I did get a couple of shipments of implements.

I ordered a 73" Caroni flail mower, a poly hopper fertilizer spreader (actually 2 of those, one for a buddy), a 55gal 3 pt. sprayer, a 7' back blade, and a post hole auger, all from Agrisupply before our dollar tanked. Got the works of it for about 5k CDN. My friend Joe lives in Jackson WY, so we got them delivered there and he brought them up for me, in my other friend Will's new enclosed 26' sled trailer!!

Then, Joe's Dad called me up and asked me if I was interested in some implements that he doesn't use anymore.... Oh ya I said!!! For 1500$ and a 66oz of Captain Morgan's I got a 66" Tiller (it's old, but works fine, and will be the recipient of a new paintjob this winter), a subsoiler, a 3pt ball hitch attachment, a 6' landscape rake, a 7' tow behind boxblade with hydraulic wheels, and an 8' riding arena dressing tool!!!

Oh ya, and when we bought our acreage on a foreclosure this past summer, the previous owners were kind enough to leave me a rusty old 3pt 6' cultivator. She's gonna get blasted and painted on the same day as the tiller.

Now I need to get to work modifying them all to fit on my quick hitch (my excuse to buy the equipment and learn to cut and weld metal).

-Jer.

ps - I would suggest that all of you find yourselves a Joe, he's a good guy to have around!!!

Actually, I forgot. I did get something (someone??) way cooler than all those toys combined. She's a close second to Michael......

Her name is Ella, and that's her Dad (actually her uncle, but he raised her), Levi. The pic of Ell alone is on the shore of Kootenay (Kootenai in the USA) Lake, near Nelson BC. The pic of them both is taken in Canmore, Alberta, where we used to live.

They give us big :D:D:D:D:D 's everyday!!

Wow, you sure made out like a bandit. I wish I could find a Joe like that. Probably nice to have a Will too. Hang on to those two friends, ones like that are hard to find.
