Correct, old style key switch dating back 50 some years. Still common in most farm supply stores, you should get change back from a $20 bill. This cold start switch however, should not be confused with a cold start kit (starter relay, glow plug relay, alternator bypass). They're two separate projects.

In those days, Ford had two basic key switch types;
a. ignition switch (gasoline engines) and
b. cold start switch (diesel engines).
The basic difference being that the cold start switch has an extra spring-return position and wiring post for the engine pre-heater. That would be glow plugs in your case.

Once I get out from the 6 or 7 FEET of snow we've had in the past couple weeks, I may get me one of them switches. For now, the switch is still working.
