Rake Landscape rakes & pulverizers

I have a JD 2305 subcompact with loader and am beginning to look for a landscape rake and or pulverizer in order to both clear property and maintain/reseed horse paddock after the winter. In looking through many threads I've become more aware that I have to make sure that the implement is sized to the tractor. Anyone have some thoughts/recommendations on makes, models, sizes and where to start this process?

When buying a rake, make sure when it's at it's max angle, it'll still cover your tracks.
Most pulverizers are pulled with no angle, so you just need one wide enough to cover your tracks.

A rake won't dig-up soil like a pulverizer, so if you want to really disturb the soil and break crust, the pulverizer would work better.
If you want to wisk rocks & debris off the surface, a rake is better.

Do not have a rake...yet, but do have a 5' pulverizer that I pull behind a Yanmar 2210BD, around 25hp. If you start on dirt or very little grass the task is easier because of the absence of the trash you wind up with. Nothing I do with the pulverizer is time sensitive so if I am stripping the grass off to work the ground I do it over a period of days to let the grass die and usually the roller will break it up. A rake would be ideal to speed up the process as you could drag the trash off. I really like my pulverizer but I do see down the road that there will come a time I will no longer need it and that will be sad, it provides for good seat time.

Thanks for the thoughts. In reading about the different sizes I came across someone's comment that indicated that I have to be concerned about the mast height on the three point with a subcompact so that I'll be able to lift the rake or pulverizer off the deck. Any thoughts on that or on brand quality?

Sorry I am not familar enough with the JD line up to even have a clue what your tractor looks like. As far as brand goes I am not sure who made mine but of the few I have seen they all seem about bullet proof. The one place that is probably the weak link is where the roller attaches to the box and pivots up and down. I have seen one that the angle just did not look heavy enough. By the way, welcome here, I am new here too but there is a great deal of knowledge and good people that do not mind sharing what they know.
