I saw snow twice last year. Once was after leaving Rob's house in California, and driving up to the Sequoia's. The other time was two days later in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. Now I'm good for another ten years of not seeing it!!!!!

What's really funny is that I don't even think about what you guys have to deal with every day. I'm wondering about when to start working on my dirt for my garden. It was 60 today and really a pretty nice day.

Is your drive concrete? I'm curious how you prevent damaging the surface of the drive.

My son and I were discussing snow the other day and finding it all quite amusing. This time of year, it really consumes people. It takes time, costs money and lots of effort to deal with it. Of course, there are many recreational benefits as well. Funny thing though, is that come May/June, we'll have all but forgotten about it. All that effort, time and money with absolutely nothing to show for it.

So for all the northerners...

No that is a gravel driveway I put in last spring , the driveway goes to my garden area.
But it's all ice underneath the snow we had freezing rain last storm and there was nothing I could do but leave it.
I was surprised how well the tractor did on the Ice , but it was a light snow.
The driveway up by the house is paved. I have skids on the plow so no damage.

I can live without snow and am jealous of the temperatures Eddie is enjoying. In the part of Kansas where I live we don't get much snow, but the wind sure does blow and it gets cold. Supposed to get to -5 tonight and the high for tomorrow is 7. Good thing around here you don't have to wait long and the weather will be totally different. Calling for upper 40's in a few days. I could not function like all you in the north.

I remember walking around rail cars with an empty rifle in Ft. Riley Kansas before we shipped out to Vietnam. We didn't have any winter gear, and it was this time of year. Yes, my friend, you do have some wind there sometimes!

My son had it all cleaned up. The next day all I could do is go up and down and look at my backup cam,
with the plow up, thanks alot son (John). maybe I'll get to plow next time.
