Getting old. Sold the ranch. Sold the tractors. Moved back to the city.
Finally got around to moving the haying implements into the new shed.

The MF-124 baler and the Allis Chalmers 80T fit pretty well in one of the 14Wx20D bays. Tucked the Minneapolis Moline P3-6 grain drill (10 ft wide) in the rear of the other bay.

Finally done.

You can see by the tire marks that it took me a while to back those implements into the shed. I never have been very good at backing up trailers and implements in a straight line.

No rain in sight. Temp today was 74F with clear skies. Oh, well. I'll take advantage of the warm weather to work on the new Minneapolis Moline KA-1300 wheel disc

It's 13 ft wide with 48 pans. Need to cut it down to about 10 ft wide so my Mahindra 5525 (54 hp engine, 45 hp pto) can handle it.

Actually the plans call for two additions, both 18x27 ft all metal sheds with 9-1/2ft clearance closed on 3 sides like the one shown in the photos. The additional floor space will handle my three tractors and the 6-ft brush hog with some room to spare.

Goodn Afternoon Ray,
Hey very nice shed you got there !:)

Yep backing anything up with that short of a wheelbase is something close to a nightmare ! ;)

That 76 deg weather sounds pretty nice right about now ! :D

Thanks.

I would trade the 76F for highs in the 40s right now. The almond farmers around here are really concerned. If the trees start to blossom in this heat and then are hit by a freeze, it could be a repeat of 2007 when the harvest was way down. And there are about 5000 acres of young almond trees planted 1 and 2 years ago around here that are a concern.

I sold a hay wagon today. The buyer brought his gooseneck trailer to haul it home (80 miles of interstate....didn't wanna pull the wagon) He THOUGHT we were gonna push it up the ramps and on the trailer. Him and what Army??????????

So. I got to back a 4-wheel hay wagon UP ramps and onto a trailer with the trusty ol' Massey 150! The buyer stood there with his jaw dislodged and laying on the ground when he saw me do it in ONE try!

I got lucky. Woulda bet it was gonna take 15 or 20 tries myself. ;)

Congrats on your skill - especially up ramps and onto a trailer. There is no room for error. Always disliked backing any 4 wheel wagon or cart. Always tried to line up the wagon where it need to go and keep it going fairly straight without turning too much. I can do it but I really have to anticipate what I need to do before it needs to be done. However, 1 month ago I backed one of our smaller, 300 bushel, 4 wheeled grain wagon with my Toolcat. Holy cow! The 4 wheel steering of the TC made it a snap. I could literally go side to side with the tongue of the trailer with little backward or forward movement.

Funny, but true.
