Some guys also like having the subframe as extra ballast.

I am with the majority here. After seeing the stresses my BH9000 exerts on the tractor I do not think the 3 pt would hold up!

I have a frame mount but, I hear on the 3 point you cannot move yourself around with the BH to get better dig angles due to the 3 point play. This is a pretty important need unless you like to play musical chairs.

I wish I could find my pics ---- new computer and I haven't got everything moved over yet....but I disconnect my sway bars, wire them out of the way, then lower the 3pt all the way down....then as I put the hoe on I manually lift the 3pt arms into a position on the hoe where they won't get into trouble...then wire the sway bars to the side of the hoe to hold them. The 3pt arms actually rest on top of the hyd connections on the hoe. I can lift the 3 pt arms just a bit to take any weight off so then they kinda float there.....but they do leak down over time.....I tend to leave the hoe on for extended periods. It takes me about 30 minutes - to do a change out - off or on.

I had not trouble dragging my B7800 around with the hoe.
I think the 3 point Hoes get a bad rap. I totally agree that the subframe mount is better, but it's not like the 3 point have a 50 percent failure rate.

All the reading I've done, and talking with sales guys, leads me to say subframe.
