I couldn't find the threat about CA in the past, but this would fit there very nicely. It makes great reading even for me:

The most recent & greatest terrorist threat to the East Coast is Californians heading this way to escape what they created while bringing it all with them !!! MikeD74T

And what it is today......Thanks fearless leaders. :D

My Way News - Calif. tax refunds to be delayed starting Feb. 1:eek:

Wow that's bad, it reminds me of a storey an older guy I worked construction with use to tell, how his contractor grandfather built schools for the city he lived in, and when the depression hit the city couldn't pay him for the work, gave him an IOU, which prevented him from paying taxes on properties he owned.

They would not take the IOU's back for the taxes and foreclosed on the families properties, which were substantial, putting them in the poor house. He said he never ate tomato soup after the depression since that's all they had to eat.

Dealing with the government is a one way street. You pay on time or it's interest, fines and penalties, but good luck getting your money back from them. Forget about timeliness when the government has to do something. At least California can't print its own money.

Received a Delinquent Registration Notice from the California Department of Motor Vehicles this week explaining non-payment is violation subject to lien... with penalties of $80, I now owed $240.

This is odd since I pay my bills on time or early and sure enough, I had my cancelled check from last November along with my 2009 registration and tags...

I called the DMV and after waiting for 21 minutes, I reached a clerk that advised I send in another check with penalty and apply for a refund... I said, "Ya, right and get an IOU from the State"

Went to the local State Senators office, about 2 miles from my home and the one that comes by my job at election time... her staff sent me away because my residence is several blocks outside her district boundary.

My Senator's office is in downtown Oakland and there is no way I was going downtown at the same time of the riots over the transit police New Years shooting of a train passenger.

I called my Assembly Woman and she got everything straightened out and provided written confirmation. Seems my renewal was processed Thanksgiving Week and somehow was not credited as paid???

With the State announcing IOU tax refunds, there is no-way I was going to pay twice for something and wait for a refund.

up until a few years ago it was the other way round.
Aint that the truth. There were 8 million Californians when I got here. (By birth, not by moving from some other state like most Californians.) Last time I looked it up the population had passed 36 million. Not an improvement.

Since I came here(was born here), it has grown tremendously. A few, like me, were born here. A LOT came from the East Coast, and all kinds of other places.

So welcome them back with open arms.

And, quite frankly that is soooo rude! A terrorist threat? It's not just rude, it is really really wrong.
