Ok, I need opinions. I have my B5200 shown, w/ FEL and MMM. It is showing 640hrs on the three digit hour meter that was thought to be original by the 2nd owner (I am the 3rd)..........Who knows..........Good tractor, but it has 20+ years on it just mowing until I put an FEL on it. I have owned it one year, and had no major issues at all, and it seems to be doing well.
I found a 2007 B7410 with less than 5 hours on it for sale, and the guy just basically bought too much tractor for his 3/4 acre lot. All indications show my FEL fitting it with a mounting frame change, and last year I welded about 7 places on my MMM that were crackedon the top side of the deck, so a rear mount will probably be needed soon for either.
Is the swap worth it? Where do I find out what the B7410 is worth?

Thanks!;)

What do you hope to accomplish by trading? Just less hours? You can get a newer one for a steal? I'm a trader. 6 Kubotas in the last 5 years and still have 3 of them. Two of my trades was up to a bigger tractor and one was to get a 6' front deck mower. I also am getting 0% interest for 42 months. Again, I trade alot but there should be some real reason for doing it or just fess up and say I want to trade. If you get the new one for a steal and can get high dollar for yours then that's a good reason. If you know yours has major problems then that's a reason for trading. I've been told that a maintained diesel engine should do around 2000 hours before rebuild. I'm just repeating what I've heard from people that know more about diesels than me.

Just wanted to move up 20+ years in less wear, but decided since my post to hold off till later for more PTO HP and power steering. Thanks!!

My Kubota B7100 had 3000 hours on it and was still going strong. There are rumours that they will last for 10,000 hours.:D

If the present tractor is adequate for you why trade. If more power is desired and power steering is desired then by all means look for a replacement.:D

My B7100 was replaced last fall with the main reason being the need for power steering as demanded by my creaking shoulders.:D

I can tolerate the lack of power steering pretty well, until the FEL gets loaded up, then it is tough!!

What did you upgrade to?

Orange to green...is that an upgrade?

When the pumpkin is immature it is green. It has little value until it turns Orange. :D

Before you jump, I have been very pleased with the Orange, the Red and yellow. Never had enough green to afford green. :) There are some out there I think is fertilizer but the JD is not one of them.

Now just ask my shoulders, arms and wrists about the benefit of power steering! He he!:p

The upgrade involved a used machine. Green came out as available and within my dollar range. :D:D

I'm an equal opportunity buyer as long as it's orange or green or ??:D

My 1977 B7100 had over 7500 hours on the meter and it had stopped working. Hard to say how many hours it actually had on it. They are REALLY tough little machines.
