Thanks for covering these points. Just fo the sake of discussion however I would point out that my owner's manual (pg 7-23 manual part #S196-001 dated July of 2006) says the following:
quoted from owner's manual CK20(s) HST:
*to avoid damage of transmission before shifting the P.T.O. gear shift lever, fully disengage the main clutch*
just throwing this out for thought, even though you operators that don't clutch to stop have had good luck with the practice and would most likely know by now if any damage should have occurred. Kioti may have cut that explanation short not wanting to distinguish between disengage PTO and engaging.
