What Size Trailer

LBrown, it will probably physically move it, but I would think such things as axles, drive shafts, transmission, rear end and such would not be built to take that kind of load. My trailer and BX2350, with an endloader and rear blade on it probably weigh between 4000 and 5000 pounds.
My BX23 is 2467 pounds with BH and FEL on it.
What to you use to tow your trailer with?

I think the midsize dakota has a total of 7k of towing capacity. your small dakota I think its might only have total of 2000-2800 towing. I could be wrong, would have to look it up. your small dakota will be able to pull the 7k trailer as its wieghs about 2000 or less. Using a gasser truck, you need at least a 4.0L engine to tow your BX. Granted, its not fast, but you can get it there. Currently I have a 4.3L S-10 blazer with 7k trialer to move my BX and its does what I need to do locally. But for the long hauls like out of state or more then 2 hrs drive, I definately need to upgrade the truck.

dodgeman - When i drive my BX onto the landscape type of a trailer, All I gotta do is extend the boom and i have the clearance to drive on, otherwise the shovel will scrape the ground just before it finish going on the ramp.

Since my import Dodge Nissan and Toyota aren't enough truck to handle my BX23 I don't think I'd want to stop at a mid sized Dakota S10 Chevy S15 GMC or even a 1/2 ton Pick Up.

Well then you need a bigger truck. Any newer 1/2 ton made in the last 7-8 years with a V8 will handle 7,000# I have a 2007 F-150 4x4 and its tow rating is 9,300# with the 3.73 gears.

What is the difference between a drop axle and a deck over?
Drop axle is a lowered axle with the bed between the wheels. Deck over is just what it states..... deck over the wheels. Advantage of a deck over is wider bed and drop advantage is deck is closer to the ground making for easier loading.

1*A hyd tilt bed ? you sure like to go all out don't you ? 2*You wouldn't have room for 3 bx's on one trailer.
1*A Hyd tilt bed and a winch would make it safer and easier to unload and load the tractor.
2*That isn't a concern but I have stumbled onto this problem with owning 3 tractors.
A~ 3 Cabs are expensive.
B~ 3 isurance policies are expensive.

1*so you can haul loads like this .

2*But you can't haul something like this cause it won't fit beteeen the fenders,

I was reading in some other threads where you were saying there was only 6 or 7 hundred dollars difference between new 3/4 and 1 ton pickups .
How would this carry through between used 3/4 and 1 ton pick ups ?
What I'm trying to say is if i could get a 1 ton for 300 to 500 dollars more than a 3/4 ton i'd go with a 1 ton.
I want something that i can haul 3000 to 5000 pounds in.
In 7 or 8 year old pickups would that be a 1/2 3/4 or 1 ton pickup?
*How much can you haul in this truck?

1/2 - 3/4 - 1 ton means nothing. You need to read the specs and go from there. Some 1 tons are rated less than a 3/4 because they weigh more. Different packages on a truck change the towing or hauling capacity.
