Went to buy a pistol yesterday...

Nice Colt Podunk. I do the same with my wife with attachments. She never says to much when I bring home a new gun. She does complain about me having ammo stored all around the house.

I can go buy an implement, no problem, she won't even flinch. She says "they're useful". Guns and ammo however are a different story. No matter how many times I tell her we may need them someday, she just and gives me more static.

When she used to tell me I had too many guns, I would say she has too many shoes and she'd hush. Now, it doesn't work. She found receipts tucked away in the back of a safe in a shoebox. She said she can fill a closet with what an AR costs. She's right, I'm a bad person I reckon.

Nice pistol. My cousin I bought my mini 14 from had one very similar except it was mirror finish. He offered to sell it, but it was too nice to shoot, and it cost $1150. JC

Oh...There's your mistake.....should've hid the reciepts in a box of ammo.

My wife would have seen the shoebox and thought "I don't remember putting those shoes in here"

Nice pistol! I don't have any Colts, but do have two Para Ordinance .45s. One is their version of the Commander and the other is one of their carry models called the CCO. It has their Light Double Action (LDO) trigger. Both are fun to shoot. Never go to a gunfight without a pistol who's caliber starts with 4!

try this one....

first, i'll have to say i have a great wife......she honestly buys nothing! i mean nothing....i have to make her go get new clothes, etc.....

however......

when i spend money on tools, guns, toys, etc......i always explain to her how i got a good deal (i know, i know) and how if i go to sell it, it'll bring the same money i gave.......when she gets a car, i tell her how much it depreciates........how cothes are $50 for a sweater and then barely .50 at a yard sale........etc....

see......then i usually get a cold shoudler for a day or two....

Podunk, those things are next to impossible to find new. Was it made recently? I've seen em go for pretty good money on gunbroker.

I shoot reloads. 185 gr semi wad cutters using the lighter spring provided in the case. Great for target shooting. Cheap to load.

Bought pistol last year, Smith & Armory XD 40 cal. Paid a over half with cash and the rest with check. Wife knows about the gun, but when see check, it is only a little over $200. She doesn't pay as much attention to the cash withdrawls. Man, am I crafty or just a wimp?
