I have the colt gold cup series 80 national match... had it for about 25 years! Safety off, five rounds in the mag... Just need to pull the slide and pull the trigger!

I've found that I can utilize both roles as needed. We call it the "zippered spine syndrome". Unzip, and hand your spine over to the little women and keep the peace.....

My wife is the epitome of "thrifty". Here's an example: I got her a 500.00 gift card to Dillards as an xmas gift the first xmas after we started dating. In October of the following year, there was still over 200.00 on the card! She said they don't have enough "sales". She told me not to get her a Dillards card anymore, but to get her a Kohl's card instead ...they have great sales! So, you can see how she'd have a cow if she knew how much $ I've put into guns in the last 7 years.

Our checking accounts are separated. She has her money, I have mine. There are bills that she pays when they come in, there are bills I pay. If she needs $, she asks. If I need money, I don't say anything...'cause she'll know I spent it all on guns and accessories!

I went and shot with a couple of buddies of mine yesterday down in Florida. One is a retired SWAT armorer and instructor from Orlando PD. He gave me a really nice gift for my 1911. These are really hard to come by these days:

Better watch out! The black copters are on the way to confiscate those ubber dangerous rounds!

I think Winchester Ranger Talons/Ranger SXT are Black Talons but without the black coating.

I was told that it is an exclusive custom shop product now, so they changed the name. Not sure if they've done any modifications on it which differ from the previous "National Match" versions. Personally, I can't see anything different, but I'll look into it and post my findings, just to make sure.

Bass Pro Shop sells (or at least did for a while last year) Winchester SXZ personal defense ammo -- the box looks identical to those talon rounds, except for the last letter on the logo. They even have the black coating. If you've got one close, take a look. Otherwise the Ranger "LEO" ammo is civilian legal and can be found for about $35 a box of 50.

Your trigger has 3 holes and mine has 1 elongated slot. My buddy just bought a Para Ordnance "GI" parkerized model 45ACP. It sure is nice, you can shake it and there are absolutely no rattles, very tight barrel so to speak. My gold cup doesn't rattle so I guess its decent. I can hit the broad side of a barn with it. Actually, its the best shooting auto pistol I've ever shot that is a large caliber.
