I like the LED step light 4shorts. Please don't put any chrome nekkid women mud flaps on your nice looking rig, as that fad was so over done. :D

I also like the trim you put on the fenders, etc to finish off the appearance.

The LED's on the lower part of the cab above the step is a real safety feature. No problem to see where the step is now. As for the naked women. To be honest when ever I do anything I never would add, paint or put anything on my work that I think could possibly offend anyone including women. I have to much respect for them to do that and I like the way you think because I'm that same way.

I remember years ago my two sons and I were sitting at the table and one of them asked me "Dad, how will you know when we're ready to go out on our own". They were only young boys then and my reply was "If you come home with an earring or a tattoo your on your own" :D

Well both my sons are members of the Canadian Armed Forces and to this day they don't have an earring or a tattoo :D I have a few biker friends that got them and some folks love'em. I'm just not one that do. I'm old fashioned I guess (I'm putting on my flame suite now)

Thanks friend. Always appreciate your comments and advise.

All nice work 4shorts very clean work whatever you do on it. Slow down so I can keep up to you.
I have some improvements I'll share with you soon, when I'm done.

So what if it were to see dirt , I would do all that to my tractor and would not be afraid of dirt work, is the roof of your tractor painted , it's very shinny.

Thank you very much for the offer of getting the lights for me,I like getting ideas from your work keep them coming.
And thanks again.

Your more than welcome. If it don't work out just PM me and I'll make it happen. As for ideas. Oh man I'm just full of them although when it comes to the tractor I'm just about done with that project. As for the cab. The tractor is only 4-5 months old with 61 hours on the clock and OK I'll admit it. I wax the beast a few times when I first got it :p

Oh come on now don't be bashful:eek:, you still wax it, You don't have to add when I first got it, everyone adds that line for protection:D. When people first found out I wax my rims   Oh boy,
Hey I wax all of the the tractor, no big deal, so I changed to WaxMan:cool:
I won't be afraid to admit it.

Ps if you already have a closer picture of the signal light I would like to see it, Thanks

Oh man I only wax the roof, hood and fenders. Anyone who is caught waxing there rims up here in Canada would be automatically sent out for a 30 day psychiatric assessment and most likely deemed insane. The tractor would be then taken from him and given to a normal person like me!:eek::D

Just got back from snow clearing. Put two hours in the seat. Love that Ambient Temp Gauge. When I left the shop the gauge started flashing "Icing" So cool:cool:

WaxMan here's a few in cab things I've done. I added the rear view mirror. I mad the bracket out of aluminum. Used the existing bolts that's holding the head liner up. Extended the mirror back so it wouldn't interfere with the heater outlets and it's great.

You'll also notice some special holders in the photo's. One holds the cell phone. I use the Blue Tooth in my ear for hands free. It's illegal to use a cell phone in Newfoundland while driving or operating. Just about the phone is the garage door opener and it's held on with Velcro.

On the other side is my recorder. If I need to take a message, I just push the button and it's done. No looking for paper and pen. :DAll convenient for me:cool:

Wow, It's like a little community in there. Very nice setup.

My dvd player will answer my cell phone and turn down the radio when a call comes in with an adaptor that I didn't buy yet,($100.00) which I probably should so if my wife wants to get ahold of me out there singing to some song blasting while I'm moving dirt or snow the DVD will mute and I can say I'm still working out here.:D
Also in the picture upper left corner, shown is my Ipod, it is controlled by the DVD touch screen what ever is on the Ipod will be on the DVD screen, movies, pod casts, playlists and 1800 songs. Total control on the screen never have to touch the Ipod.

I can also get GPS adaptor for the DVD , but that might be over the top for going up and down the driveway.

I also thought of a indoor outdoor thermometer Yours is a really nice one I wish I had room for the gauge. I have been looking for one but did not find one I liked yet.
I thought of getting one from a car that has the temp, and compass built into the mirror, But I have to see what else in involved to hook it up might be a million wires. I would like to put a backlit indoor outdoor thermometer to the left of the heater controls on that flat spot.

I'll show pictures of my next project soon.
it's a 12 volt stainless steel coffee warmer that will keep your 16 oz coffee warm at any desired temp really nice looking cup, I want to make a shelf and holder to the right side of the dash with a power connection so you just have to set the cup in it's holder and not plug it in. You know some of the movies on the DVD are two hours long , I want my coffee to stay hot.

Cool stuff WaxMan. I'm just about done in the cab. I need room for ME :) your set up is much like the same set up I have on my Wing. The GPS get priority over everything else including the Ipod. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so I'll save a few bucks in that department. I do use the Ipod in the tractor. Love the thing.Got a few songs and vids on there as well and can feed it through the reverse camera set up

Dennis (Army) was posted in Petawawa, Ont as a medic. Now he is doing Bio-Med at NATE in Edmonton,Alberta and will soon be back at Pet.

Daniel (Navy) Logistics) was on the HMCS Halifax for four years and this past summer was posted in Corner Brook, Newfoundland in the recruitment center there.

The two of them were home this past Christmas.

Wiley Miller, my favorite comic strip artist who pens Non Sequitur, had a toon with a caption that read, "I can remember when tattoos were a sign of rebellion instead of conformity." I don't like "Tramp Stamps", and my feeling about piercings is that I came from the factory with all the holes my body needs to function properly, so why add any more.

I really like what you and WaxMan have done with your rigs. They are nicer than my last cubicle in the cube farm I vacated.

If you don't powder coat the aluminum bracket holding your rear view mirror, I've found Krylon's Fusion Satin Black spray paint is close to the black used in automotive applications.

Nice looking tractor!!!

I would like to see if you would add a couple things on your tractor
for me, i really like all that you have done so far but just a couple more things wouldn't hurt.

I think you should get your rims chromed.

I think you should you should add 4 1/2 or 5 1/2 in. stainless steel
exhaust out the top, so what do you think?

Nice tricked out tractor:D

meanmerc the wife and I have been very lucky. The boys have made it home for Christmas for the last six years. We had a great time. A big Thank You Sir for your service in the forces

Your right mjncad on the Krylon paint. Great product. You shamed me into painting the bracket :D I made it out of aluminum so I etched primed it and then used some automotive trim paint I had in the shop. I like it better now. Thanks for the suggestion. I talk a lot but I listen as well :D

Thanks johndeere4300. Those are great ideas. I love chrome. I've been adding chrome to my Wing now all winter. I just tell the wife that it's safety chrome :D Would love to chrome the rims and add that exhaust stack. These things just don't look like tractors without that exhaust coming out through the hood. I bet chroming the rims wouldn't be to cheap :( I know the wife would kill me too!:D

Well at least a stainless steel exhaust, you can get a 36" long angled tip or curved tip. ( would look really great) *jc whitney*

I did see a john deere with chrome wheels but i didn't think it looked that great, because the tractor was yellow.

But______would look great with orange:D

How warm does it stay in your cab?

Oh ya the wheels would look super cool for sure. I remember a few years ago I restored my old '66 Honda Dream and I sent out the old parts for chroming. Great job but cost over $2000. to get it all done. I attached a video of the restoration and you'll see in one of the photo's the chrome just after I received it. I bet it would cost $2000. plus just to do one wheel

As for the exhaust. I'm restoring an old Toyota forklift and I'm kind of customizing it  OK I'm going all out to customizing it and I'm useing exhaust stacks from jc whitney. They are great quality I might ad. I'll post pics of the lift when I get it all done. I really hate the way the tailpipe is on my tractor. It puts soot on part of the FEL so I may end up doing something about the exhause. As for the cab on the tractor. It's the warmest cab I've ever been in. There's not a draft that gets in. The other day I was out in a blizzard and the winds were howling and I was operating it with my jacket off. As Kubota says with the Grand L's, "Life Is Grand".:D

Really nice custom jobs you have done with that welding cart, tractor, and your motorcycle.

I really enjoyed the video of your motorcycle, just like the welding cart video from start to finish.

Looking forward to the forklift after it is finished.
