If you guys with the 8x8 are missing the mid-range that we have with the 12x12, then you really are missing out on the best part. That low range is good for very little. When I got my 1433v I didn't think much about the difference between both transmissions 8x8 or 12x12 and wish I had.. I have the 8x8 with the large tire format and for me "only when mowing" low range 4th gear is too slow and hi range 1st gear is too fast unless you lower rpm's which will slow your blade speed also...finding a happy medium, if you will...
I assume the 12x12 would have a better selection of gears for a more comfortable ground speed when mowing...not to mention a little slower ratio for tilling ground as well.....Just my .02 worth
