So I have had this unit for 13 years and it was old when I got it. Over the years it has lost the ability to lift the bucket when it is fully loaded without increasing the RPM and waiting a long time. I thought that it may have been the pump mounted on the PTO on the front. I found that they could not be rebuilt, so I replaced it. This did not help. The system just screams at me when fully loaded. The only other component is the control valve. What adjustments are on this unit. Can it be rebuilt? Can I do it myself? I have attached a picture that I found in the forum of the valve unit that I have.

Not sure if it can be rebuilt, but I bet you can find a replacement easily.

Well if someone could direct me to a replacement I would be up for that. When I replaced the pump the local dealer tolme that it was discontinued and they could not supply one. I ended up chasing down the specs and getting one from anouther manufacturer. I have seen some joystcks that claim to work but I am sure none of them is a bolt in replacement. If I need to weld up a mount or something I can but would rather just fix this one.

Tahnks

Welcome to TBN:D

One clue to me is when you said this:
The system just screams at me when fully loaded.

What you could be hearing is the relief valve, it usually makes a squealing noise when it operates...it could be week or bad. It is located on the valve but you will need a pressure gauge to test/set it. A gauge setup can be made for under $30 or so...

Now, if you just want to replace the valve, then this one from the Surplus Center would be a good match for your machine:
Joystick Valve

There will be a pressure relief valve somewhere in the system. Check the pressure, find the relief valve, and adjust it as necessary.

Yep, it's most likely the relief valve. Either the spring is week or starting to stick. Mine actually stuck open so I had no hydraulic pressure. It was an easy fix, just took it apart and cleaned it up so it moved freely.

Yep, that did it, I took it apart and found the spring to be worn (actually there was a small washer used to space the spring). I just placed an additional two small washers in order to tighten the spring against the valve. Works like new now.

Thanks for your help.

Good. Now that you have R&Red the relief valve you really should get a gauge and check you max system pressure.
