Does anyone know why there are so many skidsteer implements that are not recomended for the 110tlb? I know when I bought mine all additional hydraulics were purchased with the intent of using multiple skid steer attachments. It doesn't seem to matter what type of implement even the non hydraulic tools are not listed for use with the 110. Weight doesn't seem to be the decisive factor either as lots of the tools are within the capabilities of the 110.

What am I missing?

I would assume you couldn't run any highflow stuff or put attachments that are made for big skidsteers like a t300 as you tractor don't have they guts to run big stuff.
But it should work for most attachments like buckets and grapples.

Specifically what isn't recommended? I don't have a huge number of attachments, but unless it is hydraulic I can't think of much I wouldn't put on my 110.

Well just to name a few I have wondered about;

BL6, BL7 snow/utility blade
RL66, RL84 roller levels, no hudraulics
VR66C, vibratory roller standard hydraulics

And I know that some of the attachments require more than one valve to operate all functions which is understandable.

It would be nice to be able to pack down and roll a trench after backfilling it.

it just may be the goofy JD website, sometimes they show attachments that won't work on machines and leave off stuff that will work on machines. IMO if it's not a weight or hydro issue and you need it, buy it and use it.

1. Ask your dealer. If you have the auxiliary hydraulics on your machine you can probably run this stuff.

2. Look at other manufacturers. Deere charges a premium for their name on a lot of attachments.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think thats what the vibratory rollers are designed for. They are a lot wider than a trench. I use a plate compactor and compact in lifts because I have one, and because they are easier on my aging body than a jumping jack type, but either one should work on a trench. The vibratory rollers are great for roads and building pads.

Dave,

I have a Bomag plate compactor to use inside of the trench and that works well too for lots of things. I am looking for compaction of top surface and smoothing for larger areas though.

I wonder if the caution on attachments like the rollers is the potential side loads on the loader arms.

Do you think that the roller loads the arms more than turning and operating with a full loader bucket of gravel?
