that makes sense nobody is really spending money on anything and they raise prices maybe they should check local inventories,.... or maybe a big rebate is in the works

Completely and totally wrong! The Yen is a 3-4 month low vs the Dollar and Japanese exports have fallen by 47% in the last month or so.
The story used to be "Increased Steel Prices" now I reckon it will change to a weak dollar. You don't think it could be like GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota an other automobile manafactures 0% financing and weak sales is depleting captial to the point new revenue sources are required to meet daily cash flow demands required to keep a manafacturing facility solvent.
web page build is back up. Price difference from 2/11 to 2/27 is up $595.00. BX1860, FEL,54" fine cut MMM, mulching blades, ballast box, turfs, grill guard, 4 position control valve. List $13,625 to $14,220. going back tomorrow. I agree, these units aren't flying out the door. Bill

I know but not many dealers carry a huge load of ZD's and all the high end commercial stuff and spring is right around the corner, so people are looking at buying. But I reason I said march 1st, is because here in Canada we are being told Kubota is raising there interest rates.....again

How much does Kubota build in the states? Usually the difference between currencies comes into play when the product is made in a different country. Maybe Kubota is going to bring back 0% for 60 months and raised the prices to make up for the money they will loose.

I think Kubota only builds the BX series and their lawn tractors here in the United States (although the engines and hydro trans are shipped over from Japan for them). The "B" series on up are built entirely in Japan and shipped over. They also build all of their attachments (FEL, BH, Etc.) here in the states. Probably why the quality control on the FEL etc. is not as good as the tractors themselves.
There has to be something wrong with Kubota raising prices. Other companies, automotive, housing, manafactured homes, clothing, etc on and on are in a "Sales Depression" with a lot facing bankrupcy and Kubota feels sales are strong enough to continually raise prices. What is Kubota saying, consumers will purchase a tractor before housing, transportation, clothing, etc?
