Do you think Bush hog cutters are superior to Woods? I've owned both, on a much smaller basis, 4' and 6' and really thought the woods was a smoother machine. Squealer VS Brush Bull. But I too hope they stay in business. All those lost jobs, what a shame. To loose your livelihood is a life changing experience most of the time.

My personal experience has led me to stay away from Woods mowers from now on. When it comes to Batwing mowers Bush Hog has a far superior reputation then Woods. Locally the 5-6' cutter market is dominated by Bush Hog due in large part to the MD line from Woods. They were junk and there are a bunch of them laying in weeds around the grape farms here. The Bush Hog dealer is a 20 minute drive, Woods is 3 minutes.

I have no use for the economy/entry level cutters so I can't say which is better. I only have experience with the medium and heavy duty cutters.

Hey Bush Hog Legend. I'll bet you own a Bush Hog 2615 Legend. Probably the best batwing I've ever used.
Sounds like you know who to call in Tn. to get correct information. Thanks! By the way, some of these posts sounds like information coming out of board rooms. Do you know if Bush Hog has a dealer council like I hear Woods does? Maybe that is the source?
I saw several truckloads of batwings coming into Georgia today. I guess that confirms that they are back in production.

Actually... I'm guessing Bush Hog Legend is a company employee or rep.

Is there any truth to the rumor that 28 Bush Hog reps are now also repping Munroe Tufline?

Thanks for all the great comments on Bush Hog equipment.

I am just glad there are still companies that make quality implements and haven't sat back to milk their name and reputation. I just hope Bush Hog and all the ag companies make it through this economy.

I really hope this turns around. I do not wish being unemployed on anyone.

I also really hope that when the flood gates open for the stimulus cash, that the bleeding begins to end.

You're exactly correct we bought a 2615 Legend back in 2001 and haven't had a minutes trouble out of it. We also own a 307, 6 ft. Squealer, 2427 QT loader, M546 loader, 3450 QT loader, 2 Bush Hog box blades, 2102 PHD, PZ 3061, & a Bush Hog UTV. So you might say I take it personal when people are talking down towards Bush Hog.

Bush Hog legend--man, you've got a barn full or yard full as they say. I've enjoyed the Bush Hog quality and service from my few products over the years. I think there will always be a Bush Hog company. No one knows who the new owners might be. Based on my little knowledge of these things, it could be several months yet.

I own a bush hog scraper blade and a Land pride rake and both were purchased at a greater price than I could have purchased for the same sized equipment but certainly not the quality.

I was certainly rewarded with with "you get what you pay for" as both have performed very well and have held up to my inexperienced abuse.

I hope they both stay financially viable as I will continue to purchase their quality made products in the future.
