Do you think Bush hog cutters are superior to Woods? I've owned both, on a much smaller basis, 4' and 6' and really thought the woods was a smoother machine. Squealer VS Brush Bull. But I too hope they stay in business. All those lost jobs, what a shame. To loose your livelihood is a life changing experience most of the time.
My personal experience has led me to stay away from Woods mowers from now on. When it comes to Batwing mowers Bush Hog has a far superior reputation then Woods. Locally the 5-6' cutter market is dominated by Bush Hog due in large part to the MD line from Woods. They were junk and there are a bunch of them laying in weeds around the grape farms here. The Bush Hog dealer is a 20 minute drive, Woods is 3 minutes.
I have no use for the economy/entry level cutters so I can't say which is better. I only have experience with the medium and heavy duty cutters.
