GC2400/2600 hydraulic angle option

I suspect you may be looking at a generic description, not the one for the sub-compact tractors.... I f you go to the Massey site, then into the compact & sub-compacts, then to implements for sub-compacts, I think you'll find some differences: the 2330 broom for the GC-series tractors is only 47.4" wide, not 6O or better as in the link you had. (The 2360 blower is only 50.2", not 63"....)

Perhaps that link was a general one, referring to implements for 1500-series (&up) tractors? Not that it couln't be done, but the GC series literature only lists "manual" angling for the broom. (It DOES list hydraulic angling as an option for the 2340 60" heavy-duty dozer blade, but not for the 2335 standard-duty 54" blade.)

Irvingj- Hate to contradict but here's the MF2330 Broom panel from the GC2400/2600 brochure. (thumbnail attached below)
The link to the brochure I posted was NG

Go here: MF GC2400 and GC2600 Series
Upper right - Product Literature - clk on GC2400_GC2600 Series Brochure
Go to page 13

As you can see the hydro angle IS offered on the MF2330 Broom as well as larger (MF 2340) Blade.
See "Compatibility" GC2400, GC2600, GC2410 & GC2610

Not knowing how the Hydro setup on the GC24XX/26XX differs from the GC23XX, my question remains:
Could Hydro Angling be retrofit or would it require a completely new SubFrame/Quick-Hitch.

If the tractor has a loader valve on it, it is any easy retrofit. Basically just need to install a cylinder and run the hoses to the loader valve.

Wow-cool! I guess M-F must have upgraded some of the implements for the 2400/2600 series as well as the tractor itself- thanks for the info! (Guess I'll have to take a trip for a look-see....)

And wow again- just looked over the brochure-- much more info than the last one- thanks for the link; don't know why I didn't find it earlier...

I may have to re-visit the soft cab.... but it seems that I remember something about it not working with models that have the backhoe. Of course, there's always scissors....:D I did spend a bit of time this winter looking like a snowman sitting on a white tractor!

... something about it not working with models that have the backhoe.

It stands to reason you wouldn't be able to operate the backhoe w/ the cab on.... looks like it falls between the seat back and the ROPS.
Hard to see in that pic but, it may require you already have a canopy.
I've got that covered (no pun-thumbnail below).
So JayBrad
May be why a Curtis is so $$$. Ones I've seen for, say, my Gator, are rigid & have a roof.
I was looking at the Bro-Tek thumb. If you go here:http://bro-tek.biz/BX-BH-TTL_Thumb_InstructionA.pdf
and scroll down to the bottom of pg7 - that's one heck of a cab (albeit Orange)
In general, what I've found: If you can't order it from Jack's, you're gonna pay thru the nose for anything MF.

Hey JayBrad, I read in another post, you have a chipper?
Care to share some info? Model? how good it works?

Hydraulic Angling Kit Update:

According to the AGCO online Parts Book, which, I might add, is a butt pain to nav. thru AND can only be accessed via a Windows (uck!) version of Internet Explorer, here's what I've found:

While the Kit's number,8302203, doesn't come up in a Jack's parts search,
by the tedious process of entering all 12 individual pt #'s, the sum total =$450. w/o shipping.
(It's basically a $350 2x5 cylinder, 2 hoses & fittings, and various nuts, bolts, and pins)
BUT it looks as though there's a different female Quick-Hitch involved
- has a 6-8"? arm, on the left side, running parallel to the tractor's frame (female Quick-Hitch tapers away from the nose of the tractor), w/ a hole to pin the back end of the cylinder.
Doesn't seem it would be too difficult to weld a tab on the QK-Hitch to attach the cylinder....
Bottom line: I could see it being worthwhile to have hydro angling on a blade.....I guess, after running the rotary broom a few hrs, I'll have a good idea how useful it would be.

BTW: I priced out the individual parts for the Rotary Broom's Optional Caster Kit = $200.
