Kioti DK45SE / Massey Furguson 165
Took delivery of my new 45. So far I love it, the HST makes moving snow sooo easy. I'm coming from a 1974 Massey 165 - it's like going from a volkswagon to a cadillac. Put about 10 hours on it doing some odd chores...but with 10-12" of snow forecast, I might get to clock lots more hours. Currently has Industrial tires but I have the option to switch to AGs if I want - I want. I also need chains but even without chains, man you can't compare a 4-wheel drive tractor to a 2-wheel drive. I'm throwing in a couple of pics of the new tractor and some winter shots, I haven't seen this much snow in a long time.

Dking,

Congrats on the unit.
Now I know what mine looks like naked - without the cab.

I am curious - why does it have a 401 loader. My unit came with a 451 loader.
Are the specs the same?

Man I thought my driveway was long. Hate to meet someone half way. I guess if you are on the tractor I know who's going to have to back up!!
Are you going to the farm show next weekend in Moncton?

Good luck with the new unit. You will have fun.

Play safe.

I have no problems with the r4s and snow. They are loaded though.
I have been down in the woods 18"+ of snow hauling out logs without any issues.

Nice tractor and congrats on the purchase. Why no cab? I see you have a burn pile going. Do you have it set up half way down the driveway so when you get cold you can jump off the tractor and warm up for a minute and continue:D.
I also have not had a problem with the R4's, but I see you have alot of ice which would give you a problem, maybe chains would be good instead of R1's. Even the R1's on that ice are not going to work to well.

Lloyd, you must have the DK45S. The matching loader for that tractor (cab or no cab) is the KL451.

The DK45se HST matches up with the KL401 loader. Very similar specs on lift weight.

Very nice tractor, great pics too!

Someday when I break down and buy a larger tractor I would like to get a DK series tractor.

According to the specs the SE has the 401 and the S has the 451???

And that's only half of the driveway, at the bottom of the hill you take a 90 degree turn and it's that far again. After the storm last weekend, we had 24" of snow down. I started the tractor at 7:30 Am and never stopped until 5:00 Pm. The Massey only burned little more than 1/2 tank of fuel..I hope the Kioti is as good.

Dmace, that is the first time I have ever seen you hint that the CK20 isn't the most powerful and complete tractor a guy could ever want! The horsepower junkies must be getting to you.:D

Loved my CK20 and would never have switched except for tripling the amount of land I am working. The DKse class is a significant upgrade.

Congrats on the new tractor. I am sure you will get lots of good use out of it.

Congrats dKing! That's one small step for Kioti, and one giant leap for Kingkind:D

OK....that was lame.....

Anyway, it must be a pleasure for you coming off the Massey. Now you'll find much more work to do I'm sure. Keep up with the pics!
