Turnbuckle is still there. shorter solid end and chain on the other. really nothing to bend.
It is still adjustable. It has a 7/16 bolt that is cut so the smooth shank is in what used to the threaded portion of the turnbuckle. It spins on that freely.
The other is threaded and tightens the assembly.
The chain is forgiving when put into a bind where the solid rod was not.
I bent them box blading and going backwards a lot.
This solves the problem by giving free slack in a bind.
Cheap to make and work far better then the Kubota originals.

Kewl beans! Yet another option I have to consider should I need to. The other one is a set of adjustable sway bars that come on one of the older Kubotas this size. I just saw a thread on it the other day. Guess I better search for it and bookmark it in case I need it later!

They were simple to make. Remove your stabilizers from the tractor.
Unscrew the old threaded rods. Get you some chain 5/16 or 3/8 and two 7/16 grade 8 bolts about 4" long that have a unthreaded shank portion.
Then ream the end of the turnbuckle that was facing forward on the tractor. Cut the bolts so they will fit into the turnbuckle opening that you just reamed.
Determine how many links of chain you need between the bolt and the shackle attach point on the tractor.
Cut the chain so the bolt will fit into the end that you opened up using a oxy/ace torch or plasma. Weld it together.
Then determine the distance from the lift arm to the shackle that your old rod needs to be and cut it.
Weld it into the long loop attach making sure you have the lift arm attach rod end in the loop.
Paint and attach.
It tightens better then the old ones did and allows slack for implements like box blades and plows.
Total cost was like $20 buck I think.
I looked into the telescopic arms and couldn't see paying say $180 bucks for them and these work better IMO.
My son goes to college at Southern Arkansas University and runs their tractors a lot. they have telescopic and He said this was far better. He works for the Farm for the school to supplement his income and does welding for them. He was going to fix up some of these for them.

That looks like a functional cost-effective solution. You have to tighten the nut to keep the turnbuckle from loosening right?

Yes I just used the original jam nut. I found it easier to hook up and tighten then the original kubota stabilizers.
You can buy one's like this but this was so cheap and easy.

I did not do this sort of thing on a Kubota, but I had a 7610 Ford which I purchased used that did not have the sway bars or links as you refer to them. I tried a number of things which failed and I finally bought two of the ratchet type chain binders (fairly reasonably priced), removed the hooks from each end, cut the handles down short, and linked them to the lift arms. Very easy to adjust, and never failed. I don't have any pictures since I have sold the tractor, but it is very easy to do.
