Its a screen.;) Japan... art of war... :D

They make you think there needy too, then they will come in and take all the big 3's desperate (and trained) workforce and maybe even get garage sale prices on some of there facilitys and equiptment. Then they will smile and give there gov. back the $2 billion (small compared to hand outs given to others.)

If toyota needs help and is reading this. PUT OUT THE DIESEL DUALLY:cool:

But I should say of course they too would show lower sales due to the global economy. and although toyota's best its not bullet proof

....and I heard on the news last week that they made an offer on Chrysler. Go figure.

Hope they don't look to me for help. I'm already helping half the banks, investment and insurance companies and two of the three auto companies in this country.

I know the response is going to be that they are asking for less money. Still, I have seen dozens of posts that say the problem with the big three is unions. Toyota does not have unions and they are still having severe financial difficulties. Toyota, Honda, Mazda May Ask for Government Bailout - U.S. News Rankings and Reviews

Is it possible the problem that companies are having are not unions but just the basic economy. I still stand by my earlier statement. The american worker is going to need unions more in the years ahead than they have in the last several decades.

Read something to day that got me thinking. There are about 50 million people in the US that are over 50 and still working. The government just needs to give each of the people 2 million dollars to retire as long as they pay off the home they live in or buy one and buy a new car in the next 24 months. 100 million in bail outs and it would jump start the economy. The auto, home, banking, retail, ect industries would be saved and there would be plenty of jobs for the ones under 50.

Seems simple enough.;)

Funny how GM, Ford, Chrysler got beat up pretty bad by all the talking heads every time they belched out "THE CAR INDUSTRY IS BAAAAADDDDDD" and always had to put in that Toyota, Nissan etc. were doing so well.

Wonder why I can't watch TV or listen to the news.

Why do these" journalists" have to put their spin on things, can't they just report the facts as they are.

The times I watch live unedited raw news and then later I hear what the talking heads regurgitate what I saw with my own eyes it's hard to believe we both saw the same event.

I totally agree. And trying to avoid any politics I will say we have discussed this where I work to some degree that the current bailout program is going to the wrong people. If you want the economy to turn around give the bailout to those that should have it (the American taxpayer). If it went to the taxpayers (and it need not be 2 million, I figure 200K per taxpayer) you would see the majority of people pay of all their bills, mortgages, have money to put away for retirement, buy a new car, and buy a new bigger tractor. That would definitely turn this economy around.

Only my 2 cents.

the only problem with this is that the government is broke. flat broke. where would they get the money from? they're borrowing money from the taxpayer to bailout the AIG's and such.
