Using my new to me KUHN EL-32-150 tiller, seemed to do a very nice job. The tiller appears to have had very limited use by previous owner. Decided to go with this one over a KK11 because of the ability to offset it in the 'unlikely' event that my little tractor gets replaced with a little bigger one. Ground was a little wet, but still was able to cut it about 4.5" deep the first pass.

In all I am Very pleased with this tiller so far, but the dealer also had the next heavier series Kuhn 72" wide for only $100 more, after using this one, kinda wishing I had gone with it. But was afraid that it would push the little tractor around in heavy clay.

It does seem to be doing a fine job. I hope you dont have to till all the way to the house in your first pic.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm just a rookie here, but I'd say you need to upsize your equipment a bit. :p

Bet its as big as you want,I got the 5ft kk tiller with a 30 hp tractor and it seems a perfect match. Seems to me [after using a 25 hp,lighter, tractor with same size tiller],you can go faster get more done, not having to worry to much about tractor,if your tractor is bigger than tiller,if you know what I mean. Turning a little with tiller down and tilling is an example[not going just straight, back and forth],smaller tractor you worry about bending/breaking something if your tiller is a little large for it. One thing to break an implement cause tractor is to big for it,another to break tractor cause implement is to big for the tractor.

Would be nice to have that field, but I need a rich uncle or something to get that. Just had it up for auction, min bid was 6k per acre and just a little over 100 acres there with NO buildings. The garden is about 125' from the back edge of my property. You can see the edge of a pile of dirt in one of the photos, that is on the back corner. Me and the boy use it to shoot rifles and pistols into. Your probably right GeenMule, but bigger is always better, right. My concern was not HP, but weight, the little 1428 only weighs in around 2300 lbs (without the loader), I have seen a 72" tiller shove a much heavier tractor when it hit hard dirt.

Thats what I was saying,5 ft tiller might be to big for you,6 ft,you need, what, about a 35-40 hp [heavy tractor]?

No,bigger is not always better, but on the other hand,if it works, than it works!
