TN85 and TN95 size and other differences??

IIRC there is no physical size diff between the 2 or w/i the TN line. The tire type/size and how theyre set will determine that. Perhaps the only operational diffs are which transmissions would be available and maybe hydraulic performance.

Width and height is all the same between all the TN models. The main difference is the wheelbase length. The TN60-75 are 3cylinder models while the TN85/95 are 4cylinder. Also the supersteer axle adds to the wheelbase length on those models.

If you are towing behind a pickup, weight is going to be a problem.
My TN75 weighs just under 7000lbs (no implements, no loader bucket)

Put just about any implement on it and you're right at 10,000lbs (or more)

The TN85/95 are bigger than the 60/70/75 (don't know the weight offhand of them, but NH website certainly has it.)

My 75 is just under 7' wide, plenty of room to fit.

Weight won't be a problem with the proper truck. How did you get your 75 to weigh 7000 pounds? steel weights? loaded tires? NH specs the TN75 cab with FWA at 6050 pounds.

Regardless, you are right though. I figure on my TN with an implement on my trailer to be a 5 ton load anytime I take it anywhere. I pull it with an F-250 just fine though (both gas and diesel F-250's). My biggest concern trailering the TN is that my trailer is only 16' long so the TN alone fills that trailer with the loader on. Put an implement on it and I have to crowd the front of the trailer and let the implement hang over the rear (a larger trailer is in my future but not too high on the list yet). Width wise I am fine as I keep it at 6' center to center but I can't haul my friends TN75 as he has it widened out all the way since they use it on hills for logging. It is too wide to fit between my fenders of the trailer I currently use.

.

I put oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluid in.
Seriously, without weights, it weighed on a scaled at like 6700. Add 600lbs of wheel weights and it's 7000lbs (cab model BTW, platform is a lot less)

Load the tires and it's another 1200lbs.

Of course, just putting my fat (*&%^ in adds enough. :p

I am looking for at least a 22 (prefer 24) foot deck-over flat bed (deck is over the wheels for full width bed) for hauling mine. I too have a 16' flat bed. Too small, but just enough for necessity. If you add in a tilt up dove tail trailer you can use it for double duty and hauling larger items (big bales, etc) with access from the sides with a bale or forklift attachment. Not cheap, but will do about anything I can think of that a pick up will pull.

Probably late to this conversation...but concerning the trailer...I would hesitate at anything except a "true" flatbed (gooseneck)..i also have a tn75 - and a little 20ft car hauler (only 3500 lb axles) and it squatted the tires like it was nobody's business...one with heavier axles/tires and so forth would probably be ok...but if at all possibly go with a gooseneck...it has been a while since i had a gooseneck sway on me (something like never)...good luck with your purchase

concerning weight of tractor---tn75 (4wd no cab weighs little over 5700 - then add loader - so the poster above is about right after adding fuel and everything....that along with the weight of the trailer....(most people dont think about...) and i cant drive very far----better off driving the tractor on the road:cool:
safer that is.
