From another thread I found out that Baileynet is a wholesaler. I have been planning on starting a small side business. I was planning on talking with an accountant on Friday about the implications of getting an EIN. So no I have not ordered this valve yet.

Thanks to Eric & Bumpkin for their legwork. OK, recieved the valve from Baileys (quick service) now I get to profess my ignorance on hydraulics and ask how to plumb this thing. The port marked 'P' on the left I assume is for input power. On the right are ports 'T' & 'N'. Again assuming (you know what that does) 'T' is for return to tank, which, according to most of the posts I've read isn't truly necessary to use when power beyond is used. Is 'N' where the PBY plug goes? Next, can the fittings where the control handles mount be rotated 180 degrees?

I don't know about much leg work, but I hope to get started on mine SOON. As for the outlets the only thing I wasn't impressed with was the lack of any paper work with the control valve. But the best I can tell your correct on the ports, except that you DO have to have a Tank return no matter if you have the Power beyond or not. The only thing the power beyond plug really does is block of the high pressure flow from getting dumped back into the tank return and allowing the high pressure fluid to pass on to another valve downstream, the tank port takes all the return fluid that is pushed from a cylinder when the pressure is applied to the opposite side of the cylinder, if that makes sense. Kennyd or someone may be able to explain it a little better for you. As for the turning of the handles I haven't taken one apart yet to see, be I think that it would work fine.

You said it well enough-I don't think I need to elaborate;)

Thanks for your imput CB. In a lot of the discussion on adding remotes, unless I'm reading them wrong, say, technically you should have a return to tank line for optimium performance, but it seems that most of the installations, including those of dealers, omit it. The perforance is affected only if 2 of the valves in series are operated at the same time. Am I misreading these? Was I correct that the PBY plug does go in port 'N' (after removing other plug of course)?

I read 99.9% of the post's in the hydraulic forums, and reply to about 80%. I also read post's about remotes in all the other forums and I have no idea where you read anything like that. You NEED to plumb the RTT (return to tank) line (marked "T" on your valve) back to the tank. It can be Tee'd with the existing RTT line if you have one-It is the ONLY line that can be Tee'd.

Guess I was mistaken then. Maybe I was seeing something I hoped to see instead of what was really there.

I noticed that the information sent to me from Bailey about this valve had an extra page than is on the website. If any of you new owners of this valve are interested I have posted that page here.
