Just looking for feedback on the units. I have been looking at KK, sicma, caroni, woods, landpride, etc. I was set to buy a KK until I went to TSC and saw that they are now $1929 for a 6' tiller. The PTO shaft said made in PRC (peoples republic of china?), and the tines were stamped Spain. I couldn't find anything that said it was made in the US. I'm thinking that they may only be assembled here. Some of the dealers in the local tractor shops have been pushing me towards woods or landpride, and away from the Italian tillers. They say that the parts are harder to get for the Italian tillers, and that some of their models may not be supported once the tractor manufacturers end their agreements with them. I look at the tillers and they seem well made, nice welds, good paint, nice tines, etc.

Anyway, I was looking for any input on the Kioti brand tiller. I think caroni makes them, but I am not sure.

There are three or four reputable tiller manufacturers from Italy. Not sure if Caroni is the one that makes the Kioti model though. If it is then you should be able to get parts pretty easily from AgriSupply as they have sold Caroni mowers and tillers for quite a while.

Tha last time I saw a Kioti tiller was over a year ago, but I was sure it was a Sicma. I have a Sicma and it's a good unit. The KK's are well thought of by those that own them. I don't think you'll go wrong either way.

Yes, everyone on here speaks highly of the KK tillers, this years model looks a little different. The PTO shaft is undoubtedly different than the one I saw last year. When I asked the TSC manager a couple of pointed questions about them he kinda danced around the issue. For $1929,before taxes, the KK tiller is getting alot closer to the sicma, caroni, woods, landpride prices. Last year I could have picked one up for about 1549 or 1599, but there was a price jump this year. The leftovers are still selling for last years price, but the store manager did a search and didn't find one within about 100miles. I saw an 81" kioti tiller which was going for around 3500 or so. 81" is a little too big, a little too expensive, and I really don't want to add a monster like that on my tractor. THE KK was nice in that the 6' just covered the rears, but not so big that I couldn't till a smaller garden (in laws). I would have posted this in the attachment section, but I am really looking for feedback on just the Kioti tillers. I am sure someone on this Board has bought one, and can give the +/- of the unit.

Went to the agri supply site, their prices seem good, but I can't figure out which ones are caroni tillers, and which ones are not (other than the one labeled caroni). What is a tillovator? Is it their name for tillers?

Thanks for the info, I'll have to call there. Too bad their nearest store is like half of the east coast away.

I think so. As I recall (I haven't checked) AgriSupply carries KK and Caroni tillers. The Caroni's are orange (convenient:)) and look very much like the Caroni flail mowers.

I'm in the same position you are looking for an economical 6ft tiller. There are still some of last years model KK tillers out there (one dealer on ebay has them for about 1600).

I bought my flail from AgriSupply and while shipping charges do add up, they are very efficient and a good company to deal with. They have been importing Caroni for quite a while too.

I bought a 65 inch Kioti tiller last year from my local dealer Michigan iron & equipment.Very well made tiller from Italy if I recall correctly.coobie

I purchased a 65" Kioti tiller when I bought my DK40 and although I don't use it a ton,when I do it really does a nice job.
I'm no tiller expert but,I know quality when I see it and you would be hard pressed to find any short comings in the Kioti tillers.
Got it in 02 and never had to buy any parts but, if I do I'm thinking that they will be as reasonable as their tractor parts....and that's a plus.....Mike.

Thanks coobie and northcreek, that was the kind of feedback I was hoping to find.

Thanks IT for the agri supply info, looks like their KK's are more than TSC, plus shipping.
