Nice job on the restoration. Glad to see something old still in use - I have come around to that thinking as I get older!

I have heard tales of how those old Wisconisns were tough to restart when hot - you justhad to wait until they cooled down to get them to crank back up.

Yeah very nice, that thing could be a portable money maker with your welding skills.

Excellent vertical weld, the machine seemed to bog way down but the arc kept going strong. What amp setting, rod, and polarity were you using?

I've got a portable Honda powered 170 amp dc welder, everyone told me DC welding is easier than AC but I have not found that to be true.

If you want to start the engine again if it are hot just pull the choke and give another 3 turns, open the choke again and it's done. Easy

Thanks for your comments The amp setting is given as the rod need (Always the amps are nominal, because all the welders have not a real output like the control says) 140 amps the rod was 9018 3.2 mm and inverse polarity. Of course D C are easier than A C The work of welding are so many finesse and clean
