Anyone run 6' or bigger Rotary Cutter on a sub? I think my 2720 will run the pto fine but the weight of the 7' Woods is only about 50 lbs. more then the 6'.
Be nice to run a 7' but I may be stretching it although the 3pt. will lift 1250 at two feet out according to Deere and we know Deere takes extra care in their specs!.......Right!

I think 6' may be to big...the weight of a rotary cutter is pretty far back. You will definitely need your FEL on-and possibly some weight in the bucket.

Yep,.. might be able to disconnect the power steering pump, too. 'Cause those front tires won't hardly be markin' the tops of the grass!!

If it's a light-duty model like the JD LX6 you might get by. But the cutter weight might approach 40-45% of the weight of the tractor. Much less "pucker factor" if you went with a 5' model, though.

If it is an open space you might consider a pull type cutter, much easier on the tractor. I used to have a Mohawk 6' cutter pull type, easy to hook up and did a nice job for many years.
