Let's lose a tractor!

I've lost 15 lbs., down to 195 from 210. I'd like to drop 10-15 more.

Wow! Great success stories from everyone this week. Well. . . maybe mine is not so great, but I'm happy with it. I only lost 2 more lb. I'm down to 218 after a week were I cheated twice. We went out with friends last Sunday to a very good steakhouse and I had a perfectly cooked 12 oz New York Srip. I also had a dry baked potato and a Caesar salad. I splurged and had two glasses of Cabernet Savignon and one bite of the beer bread. On Wednesday, I took my grandkids out to pizza at Cici's. I again had a Caesar salad and several slices of pizza. In both instances, I didn't eat anything else all day. Considering all that, I'm really happy to be down 2 more pounds. I hate being a social pariah when I'm on a diet. If I isolate myself and don't go do a few fun things, it's a Pyrrhic victory at best.

Had a good week with weight loss with 5 1/2 pounds. I am now at 276 1/2 which 1/2 pound more lost and it will total 50 pounds for the year. Had a great final week at the rodeo, got the hang of things. What to avoid. Now if the other doctor would just release me to go back to work. I had my forth hernia repair last November and have not been back to work. Good thing for disability pay. The company doctor wanted to keep a 20 pound lifting restriction which rules out most every ting on my job.

I wish I would of had may camera as this weekend was the Ag Mechanics and tractor restoration contests at the Houston livestock show. There were some great ag projects built by FFA students. Every thing from hay spears to a tandem dump trailer. The non profit group I volunteer for was one of the sponsors so we were at the awards show.

I believe "tandem" normally means two axles (4 wheels). Tandem duals means two axles with dual wheels (8 wheels). In some instances, I think tandem can mean three or more axles. The dictionary definition of tandem is just a series of items that work together, so two or more axles could be called tandem by that definition.

To get back on topic, when I was very overweight, I had tandem chins.

What's a tandem dump trailer?

There were a couple of real nice dump trailers and many other trailers and implements that would give the commerical builders a run for their money. One was the typical dual axel trailer with 4 foot side walls with a hydrolic dump. Another was a 18 wheeler type trailer you would see hauling gravel.

I guess tandem may not be the best discription for them. Either way all the ag kids did a great job on their projects. They must of been lurking over in the TCN project area.

Well, I've officially lost my first 50 lb bag of feed. I'm down to 215 from my starting weight of 265. Woohoo! I only have 50 lb more to go. I'm wearing jeans I've not worn in two years or more. That's a good feeling. Three months ago, my wife was suggesting that I let her take the pants to the resale shop. Now I can let her take my "fatty pants."

I am down another 5 lbs to 185... starting from 234.
Feeling more energetic and only need to loose another 20+.

I lost 40 lbs last year on the "Husqvarna" diet. Unfortunately, I gained about 20 of that back. I"m going to start this diet again next month....
